Nathan Reeves
CeMAP Certified Mortgage Adviser
Nathan has lived in the South Hams since age 4, attending school in Ivybridge where his love of rugby began. He’s played for Ivybridge, Devon County and even had a Bath scholarship. He still plays now for Brixham and the Fishermen, albeit with more aches! Nathan is also an avid bass player for bands including an Italian jazz ensemble and alongside Cosmo Jarvis.
These days, family comes first for Nathan. He lives in Plymouth with wife Maisie and sons Alfred and Bertie, along with golden labrador Gyp. More dog pics to come!
Mark John
CeMAP Certified Mortgage Adviser
Mark has called the South Hams home since age 2, attending school in Ivybridge. Art, music, skating and guitar filled his younger days. Though he never reached rock star status, Mark did qualify as a sound engineer.
Now Mark resides in Wembury with his wife Chloe. Living by the sea shapes their life, even inspiring some dodgy surfing! Outnumbered by sons Ethan, Eli and Leo, their pride and joy is their VW camper van.
Charlie Green
Experienced Mortgage and Protection Adviser
Charlie is a born and bred Plymothian who has lived here her whole life, keeping with our theme of local experts serving the local community.
With 10 years under her belt in estate agencies, Charlie brings invaluable industry experience to help our customers. She made the leap into mortgage advice and hasn’t looked back since.
In her free time, you can find Charlie cooking up a storm in the kitchen, enjoying family time on autumnal walks with son Brody and dog Pixie, or running to the sweet sounds of Lionel Richie. Did you know Charlie used to compete in trampolining championships?
Mike Jones

Hi, I’m Mike. I’ve been working in home financing for the past 10 years, with a particular interest in later life lending for the last 5 years. I have a special interest in providing support to customers in my hometown of Plymouth and the surrounding areas but I can help customers nationwide via video or telephone.
Growing up on the Devon and Cornwall border, I’ve always loved camping, especially given how wonderful this part of the world is. When I’m not under canvas you’ll usually catch me following motorsport of all kinds!
Choosing to release money from your home is a big decision and it’s important for you to understand all the options available to you. This means that I will always offer you unbiased advice. It doesn’t matter to me which solution or lender I recommend, as long as it is the right one for you.
Seb Edmonds
Protection Adviser
Seb is an adopted Janner having been originally born up north but moved down to Plymouth aged 3, and has never looked back. He is an avid football fan and has been an Argyle season ticket holder for over 20 years (for his sins). Seb is also a keen gym goer and is an aspiring amateur bodybuilder. He lives in Plympton with his fiancé Abbie, and they will very soon be starting a family together.
Originally, Seb studied to be an engineer for CERN and even has a degree in Astrophysics. However, he decided that he wanted to swap particles for people and followed his dad’s footsteps into financial advice. He has been in the industry for over 6 years and has helped more than 1000 families sort their insurance needs.

Kate Gribbins
Office Manager & Admin Hero
Kate is our Office Manager and turns everything within Mewstone from crazy into order. She is the backbone of our team and we are so glad she has joined our family.
Kate really is as local as it gets, as she was born and raised in the Chaddlewood area of Plymouth where our office is based.
Kate’s background adds to her next level organisational skills as she spent the first 12 years of her career in the legal industry, of which nearly 5 of those are in residential conveyancing. Kate’s role is to help the team and our customers with support throughout the ‘Mewstone Client Journey’ from first contact, all the way through to completion.
In her free time, you will mainly find Kate spending quality family time with her husband Jon, daughter Hattie and of course her fur baby Parker.
Fun fact about Kate – when she was younger Kate’s hobby was Clay Pigeon Shooting and she was lucky enough to have opportunity to shoot in the Devon Ladies Skeet team.

We recommend arranging a mortgage in principle prior to starting your property search. That way when you do find your dream property you are in the best possible place to make an offer.

How long will it take to arrange my mortgage?
The length of time varies on the property type, the application details and requirements of each lender, as well as the requirements from your solicitors. However, we will always endeavour to have it processed as quickly as we can, whilst managing your expectations and keeping you informed.

We were given Mike from Mewstone details having heard good vibes from his work. Mike made contact, we explained our circumstances and he was able to assist us quickly with a mortgage in principle at the right amount of loan, we are now going through the paces of buying our home and this has been completed very quickly by the mortgage lender with Mike by our side all the way, great honest advice, explained in plain English, upfront with all costings and also will explain if things go wrong honestly. Our house has a very odd issue with holding a freehold title as well as a leasehold title, so Mike is assisting us each step of the way and being our go between with solicitors and estate agents.
We are very happy, would 100% recommend Mike to anyone who asked, his specialist area is mortgages for older people but I am sure he can help many others looking for assistance with mortgages.
